Contact data deteriorates faster than you can think of. People switch jobs or get promoted, and companies merge or go out of business. Everyone contributes to stale data gradually and if you are wondering how fast it happens, then it’s a whopping 30% per year. This ultimately affects multiple segments of your business right from sales, marketing, recruiting, and revenue.
According to a survey by Validity, 44% of organizations lose revenue by 10% every year due to stale data in their CRM. It’s very natural for sales and marketing teams to rely on CRM data for effective outcomes. However, if the data is stale it can hurt your bottom line. This is a harsh truth that most B2B organizations are facing these days.Â
The quality of the data reflects effectiveness and efficiency in your business. If you have poor-quality data of customers or prospects that is no longer healthy, you are losing a lot of time, money, and resources. According to Gartner, poor data quality costs organizations an average of $13M every year. This can be due to multiple reasons,Â
- Data attributes are missing
- Incorrect, or duplicate dataÂ
- Outdated data (job changes, the company name changed, etc)
How does stale data affect your business?
Stale data affects the two critical segments directly, marketing and sales. It’s not just about poor campaign results or bad connect rates. Employees tend to burn out as well with less productive hours due to stale data. As they spend more time correcting data than working on it. We do know that there is automation to rescue but it relies on data accuracy. If poor data meets automation, it leads to multifold errors.Â
- Email Domain Blacklisting: If you are sending too many emails that end up in the spam or have incorrect email addresses, your service provider might blacklist you and that ends up in a bad email reputation. Rebuilding this takes time and effort and marketing teams cannot afford to lose that.
- Non-personalised content: Wrong information about the prospect might end up getting content that is not relevant to them. This is more frustrating for the users and can lead to high email churn. Which means a potential customer is lost.
- Sales rep’s time wasted: Sales reps rely on accurate data to connect and kick off the conversation. However, stale data ends up wasting time on the wrong prospects thus affecting their productivity. This ends up hurting overall sales conversions and revenue.
- Bad experience for prospects/customers: Inaccurate data might end up leading to the wrong first impression. It can lead to prospects having negative impressions and can affect sales team morale to handle such situations.
These reasons are clear indicators of how stale data can hurt your business and team efficiency. Well, this is why we worked closely with sales and marketing teams to develop a feature that bridges the gap of data inaccuracy.
Introducing Alerts
Alerts will help your sales and marketing teams stay updated with the most latest information on their prospects. All you have to do is sit back and Adapt will work for you to find the updated data on your target audience. We have added Alerts for two core areas of the product,
- Saved List – This allows you to save your target audience and segment them further into different lists.
- Saved Search – This allows you to save your search criteria, and re-run them every time you need more contacts.
Alerts will notify you of potential updates periodically and help you stay ahead. These updates will include new contacts added to the database, contact profile updates like job change, role change, and more data attribute updates. Let’s jump to see how this works.
Use Alerts for Lists
One of the key aspects of using a prospecting platform is to have the most updated and accurate data attributes of your ICP. This makes reaching out easier, improves connection rates, and scales conversions. Alerts for your saved leads will provide you with updated information every time. You can sync your CRM and update the information for all leads in just a few clicks. That includes customers, opportunities, product users, and more.
How saved lead alerts will help your teams?
- Generating a consistent pipeline of leads to ensure your team is reaching the right people.Â
- Reach out to customers who switched their jobs. They know your product already! New executives spend 70% of their budgets in the first 100 days.Â
- Maintain your CRM hygiene, this applies to your customers, opportunities, or product user data.
Let’s see it in action,
With Alerts in the My Leads section, your sales and marketing team will have a first-mover advantage every time. Your teams will get notified of profile updates in their saved lists.
Your leads lists will have multiple tabs that will alert you on Job Changes, Role Changes, and Other Updates (that consist of phone numbers, direct dials, and more)
You can check role changes and other updates in specific timeframes as well. You will see alerts for specific updates in your lists based on the timeframe.
Use Alerts for your saved searches
Saved Searches allow you to create a predefined search query that you can use to run a search anytime. Now as we introduce Alerts in saved searches, you will get notifications when new contacts are added to our database that matches your search query. This way your sales and marketing team can have a consistent flow of new leads that match your ICP. Let’s see how it works,
You can enable email notifications and define the timeframe based on your preference. Adapt will send email notifications for new contacts that are added to your saved search.Â
You can also visit the saved search and find the new contacts column where updates will be populated. Click on the updates and you will find the list of new contacts added to your search criteria.
Stay ahead of your competition with a consistent flow of new leads that match your target audience. Adapt will work for you to discover more leads periodically. All you have to do is create an alert for your search query and we will do the rest
Give these new features a try and let us know what you think about them. Your feedback would be helpful to make it better and more useful.Â
